What height should my kitchen sockets be above my worktop?

Discussion starter • #1 • mar 22, 2009. Between the sink and the stove, it should be 24 inches of counter, but 36 inches of continuous space on at least one side of the sink is perfect. The bottom edges of our outlet covers are 3.75 inches above the finished countertop.
The standard height for installing counter top electric outlet receptacles. It may not be the best for a specific task, but it is the best overall compromise for the majority of tasks done in the kitchen for a user of average height.
